I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips.

(-5) Days of Summer

I realize that technically its not summer yet because its not June 1st, but the day was just so beautiful--I couldn't help but share.  I spent the afternoon at South Park with my current reading obsession, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller.  Its a fantastic read and even if you're not a Christian or even religious, you should pick it up.  Its a gem.

Also, it was hot.  Almost too hot to be outside but in the shade with a Perrier it was delightful.

After that adventure I went to Murphy to teach a piano lesson.  Murphy smells weird without people in it.  I'm not sure if it was the smell that started affecting me or if it merely set it off, but I started to realize how many of my close friends in Murphy graduated a couple of weeks ago.  Its not like I didn't know it was coming (I saw them walk down the Hill for God's sake) but it still made me sad to feel their absence in a real form.
